About Wyatt

Wyatt Wright is a practicing attorney who handles all aspects of cases where real people get wronged.

A staunch supporter of individual rights, Mr. Wright believes that American public policy requires that where the interests of corporations and those of real people come into conflict, the interests of the people must prevail. As a result, Mr. Wright is a regular and sought after speaker on law and personal rights related topics. Mr. Wright is often heard to say:

“Corporations are wonderful vehicles of capitalist growth which I generally support—but we can’t lose sight of the fact that they are artificial—people are real—and at the end of the day only one lays a head upon a pillow.”

 

A Texas police officer for over 16 years, Mr. Wright is also a strong supporter of law and order and in protecting our communities. Mr. Wright holds the law enforcement rating of “Master Peace Officer,” the highest attainable in Texas. He is also a licensed police instructor who regularly provides continuing training to other officers.

Mr. Wright is licensed as an attorney in five states (Texas, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska) and the District of Columbia. He is also licensed to practice before all Texas U.S. District Courts; U.S. Court of Federal Claims; U.S. Tax Court; U.S. Court of International Trade; the 5th, 9th, and 10th U.S. Courts of Appeals; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Wright has served on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee; as President of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association; as a Director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association; as a Fellow of the San Antonio Bar Foundation; as a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the American Constitution Society.

Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University and a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
